Privacy Policy for Calc Buddies
This Privacy Policy explains how Calc Buddies accesses, uses, stores, and shares information. Calc Buddies is provided by A to Infinity Labs (“we,” “us,” or “our”).
1. Information stored on your device
Calc Buddies stores the following information locally on your device:
- calculation history;
- your selected buddy or visual theme;
- your keypress-sound preference; and
- advertising consent choices where applicable.
Your calculator history and app settings are not uploaded to servers operated by us.
2. Calculations
Calculator input and results are processed on your device. We do not transmit your calculations or calculation history to servers operated by us. Calculation history remains on your device until you clear it in the app, clear Calc Buddies' app data through Android settings, or uninstall the app.
3. Clipboard use
Calc Buddies writes a calculation result to the Android clipboard only when you intentionally use the copy feature. Calc Buddies does not continuously monitor or read the contents of your clipboard. After a result is copied, Android and other apps may handle the clipboard according to their own functionality and privacy practices.
4. Advertising and information handled by Google
Calc Buddies uses Google AdMob and the Google Mobile Ads SDK to display banner advertisements. According to Google's published Mobile Ads SDK disclosure, the SDK may automatically collect and share:
- your IP address, which may be used to estimate approximate location;
- app and advertising interactions, such as app launches, taps, and ad views;
- diagnostic and performance information, such as app launch time, hangs, and energy usage; and
- device or account identifiers, including the Android advertising ID, App Set ID, and other applicable identifiers.
Google may process this information to provide and measure advertising, perform analytics, prevent fraud, maintain security, and improve its services. Google states that data collected by the Google Mobile Ads SDK is encrypted in transit using Transport Layer Security.

5. Advertising consent and privacy choices
Calc Buddies uses Google's User Messaging Platform to request and manage advertising consent where required by applicable law. Depending on your location and Google's requirements, you may be asked whether information may be used for personalized advertising. Your choices may affect whether the ads you receive are personalized.
When required, Calc Buddies provides a privacy and consent entry point in Settings so that you can review available choices. You may also manage or reset your Android advertising ID through your device's Android settings.
6. Internet and network-status access
Calc Buddies requires an active internet connection. The app uses Android's network-status service to determine whether validated internet access is available and to show an offline message when it is not. This check does not access Wi-Fi passwords or scan for nearby Wi-Fi networks. Internet access is also used by Google services for consent management and advertising.
7. Third-party services
Calc Buddies uses the following third-party services:
- Google AdMob and the Google Mobile Ads SDK for advertising;
- Google User Messaging Platform for privacy and consent management; and
- Google Play services where required by those Google components.
These providers may process information under their own terms and privacy policies. We do not control their independent data-retention practices.
8. How information is shared
We do not share your locally stored calculation history, selected theme, or sound preference. Information described in the advertising section may be collected and shared with Google through the Google Mobile Ads SDK for advertising, measurement, analytics, security, and fraud-prevention purposes.
9. Data retention and deletion
Local calculation history and preferences remain on your device until they are cleared or the app is uninstalled. You can:
- clear calculation history from the History screen;
- clear all locally stored app data through Android Settings > Apps > Calc Buddies > Storage > Clear data; or
- remove local data by uninstalling Calc Buddies.
Calc Buddies does not currently offer user accounts, and we do not retain calculator history on servers operated by us. Information processed by Google is retained according to Google's policies and the user's applicable privacy choices.
10. Data security
Calc Buddies uses Android-provided storage for local app information. Third-party network communications use the security measures provided by the relevant services. Google states that Mobile Ads SDK data is encrypted in transit. However, no electronic storage or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
11. Children's privacy
Calc Buddies is a general-audience utility and is not specifically directed to children under the applicable minimum age. We do not knowingly operate user accounts or request names, email addresses, or other direct contact information from children. If the app's intended audience changes, we will update this policy and the app's advertising and consent configuration as required.
12. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when Calc Buddies' features, third-party SDKs, data practices, or legal requirements change. The revised policy will show an updated “Last updated” date. Material changes will be disclosed as required by applicable law or Google Play policy.
